Job Description
The Oracle Global Accounting Controllers (GAC) team is a key part of the company’s Global Accounting Controllers organization, which oversees accounting and reporting under US GAAP. This is an exciting opportunity for finance professionals who want to be part of a world-class accounting team that promotes accuracy, compliance, and innovation.
As a Financial Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely book closing of assigned countries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with audits, and contributing to global financial projects. Collaborates with finance teams around the world to ensure consistent and reliable financial reporting while identifying process improvement opportunities through automation and cloud technology.
This role is ideal for B.Com graduates with professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or ACCA with up to two years of accounting AND finance experience.
Key Responsibilities
Support month-end and quarter-end closings, ensuring accounting activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Carrying out balance reconciliations, analyzing discrepancies, and resolving existing open items.
- Provide audit support by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Partner with global teams to take a unified approach to closing administrative and financial reporting.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying automation and efficiency opportunities.
- Participate in global funding projects and test the system during updates or process changes.
- Assist in the preparation of FINANCIAL statements, including P&L reports and balance sheets.
- Review and analyze intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain general accounting systems and records, ensuring all journal entries meet internal and external audit standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and improve reporting mechanisms.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or ACCA are strongly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or ledger activities.
Eligibility and Qualifications
- Proficiency in general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Good knowledge of intercompany accounting, tangible assets, and accounts payable/receivables.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle ERP or similar tools).
