About Software Engineer at Cisco:-

Join Cisco Networking Engineering in Bangalore to develop and test high-end routers (ASR9000, NCS5500, NCS540, NCS5700) and optical products (NCS1010, NCS1004, NCS4000 series). You will deliver benchmarked software, automate end-to-end system testing, debug complex network problems, and collaborate with global teams. Your work will enable faster customer adoption in Web, Service Provider Edge, Core & Optical markets.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Write Python automation test plans, defining strategy and test cases for new features

2. Engage in network automation, algorithmic thinking, and analytics applications

3. Debug complex network problems and define solutions

4. Collaborate across geographies with direct customer interfacing and stakeholder management

5. Apply data-driven and scientific testing methodologies

Qualifications & Skills:-

1. Education: MS/BS in EE/CS (or equivalent)

2. Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience

3. Technical: Python test automation, Linux, software debugging, test planning/execution

4. Preferred: Selenium, NMS/EMS, Optical technologies, traffic generators (Viavi, Spirent, IXIA), CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certification, Layer-0/Layer-1 testing

5. Soft Skills: Strong communication, results-oriented, quick learner, open to grey-box testing
